Guest ‘Lecture’: Health and Safety

The first time this lecture was scheduled, the gentleman from Heinz who was supposed to be giving it failed to appear (as did our course lecturers, who were ill or in Malaysia depending on who you ask).

It was rescheduled after the fact to happen a month later, and we all duly turned up.

And waited. And waited! There was some sort of technical issue, and our guest was appearantly unprepared to give his lecture without a computer.

After an entire hour, in which nobody addressed the class to explain or apologise for the delay, it had degenerated to the point that students were throwing paper darts at a remote-controlled toy helicopter. At this point, I left to use my time more productively.

I was later told that the lecture began a full hour and a half late.
